31st ANNUAL “CHRISTMAS IN WESTON”, VERMONT
“Christmas in Weston” is a day-long celebration of family fun that ushers in the Holiday Season for the Mountain Communities, residents and visitors alike. Selected as a “Top Ten Winter Event” for the last three years in a row, by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, Christmas in Weston attracts those looking for a traditional Vermont winter experience as well as great holiday sale opportunities.

Now in it’s 31st year, “Christmas in Weston” is a day full of free events throughout the town on Saturday, December 5th 2015 from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There are fun events and activities for all ages at galleries, shops, museums and inns throughout the scenic village and delicious food at the local restaurants. Have fun while finding unique gifts for everyone on your Christmas list – all in the town of Weston.

Funds raised from this event will go to equipment and training for the Weston Volunteer Fire Department. They are a valuable asset to our community and we are proud to support them.

Guests can tour the village by foot or horse-drawn wagon and children will enjoy seeing Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Vermont Country Store. There will be story-telling and crafts at the historic Little School and Wilder Memorial Library. Adults can enjoy a hearty lunch at the Bryant House Restaurant, a cappuccino and cannoli at the Village Green Gallery and an afternoon drink at the Inn at Weston. One-of-a-kind gifts can be purchased at the Vermont Country Store and Village Shops. The historic Weston Playhouse will host a variety of music events, a reading of The Night Before Christmas with Mimi Neff and a special magic show for the kids. The Old Parish Church will be decorated for the season and has a full event schedule including Christmas music, a reading of A Christmas Carol by Munson Hicks and live music from the Nordic Harmoni Singers. The day will end with carolers on the Village Green and the lighting of the Weston Christmas tree.

Works from local artists will be raffled as part of the day’s activities along with gift certificates from local businesses including area restaurants and inns as well as theatre tickets to exciting summer Weston Playhouse performances. The raffle will also benefit the Weston Volunteer Fire Department and tickets can be purchased at the Weston Playhouse. Winners need not be present to win.
